To channel one of the best trademark styles of Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, dress up with plaid or tartan.

Why wear plaids? They are far more than stripes and squares. While they may remind us of Scottish National Costumes, they are everywhere in main stream fashion. You can find these designs in shirts, shorts, trousers, blazers and scarves. Pulling off an outfit with plaid or tartan is easy. You will see!

Needless to say, plaid has gained a spot in the fashion consciousness through the years. Even the haute couture designers, fashion critics and other industry authorities have bought in to the sightlines of one of the most sought-after designs for clothing. Who doesn’t love plaid? It is both classic and stylish.

Let’s try a little plaid mix and match, Get ready!

Wearing a knee-length plaid pencil skirt starts off the look. There is something chic about skirt styles that play up your waist and if it’s plaid, what more can I ask for? To boost the overall look, mix in some other gorgeous pieces. For example, to compliment the skirt I used a contrasting element like a black and gold leather belt. This too makes an au courant statement. Let’s call it fancy!

I layered this with an Angora wool turtleneck and a distressed sequin vest. The latter is meant to break up the traditional vibe the plaid can give and provide an updated look! This outfit also helps beat the cold weather.

For accessories try an oversized clutch as an eye catching addition to the outfit. It’s trendy and functional at the same time. Have fun with these accessories- I threw in gloves and pointed tip boots.

My walk around Manhattan felt better than ever in plaid!

Feel like a Superhero and be bold with in an eye catching comic print pencil skirt. Be Brave, Stunning and Seductive! Thanks to SoCal weather 🙂

Superheroes are here to rescue my winter wardrobe! Black and grey will be defeated with strokes of powerful color. Let’s talk about Roy Lichtenstein. For those who don’t know his work, he was a very successful pop artist. His use of color is robust and vivid, which is what I love and it makes me feel like flying – Aaaahh! Heavy use of primary colors make the images pop, and thick black outlines really tie in the comic book look and feel.

High fashion loves comics. Many fashion designers are inspired by comic pop art. In 2011, Lisa Perry released a collection of comic themed dresses at her boutique on Madison Avenue. A year later Karla Spetic (Australian designer). Charlotte Olympia had shoes featuring comic design. Moschino’s creative director, Jeremy Scott, for 2015 Fall collection was using comics and cartoon icons as well.

This form-fitting skirt with Pop Design is fun and will make your shape alluring.
The sheer mesh stretch top with a bright color goes well with the skirt. Don’t be afraid to play with your outfit, knot the top to look more fun and a little flirty.

Walk like a superhero with an open toe, suede, color block pumps from Brian Atwood. This standard stiletto gives a youthful twist, adding hot pink to the almond toe shoe, a double platform in blue and purple and a bright yellow heel. What amazing colors for these killer heels! BAM!

So what’s there to love about Brian Atwood? It’s a consumer line to the premium Brian Atwood brand, which is a splendid option for all of us who crave designer shoes at a more cost friendly price point. You can find alternative shoe collections at Bloomingdales or Saks Fifth, retailing around $350. If you shop smart you can find them cheaper at outlets. I got this shoe for $7 at TJ Maxx – POW!

I chose neon color aviator sunglasses to complete the look. Bright lipstick and well….. “Kiss me, Bruce Wayne” Awww

The ultra-chic pencil skirt pairing with heel and clutch keep things sophisticated but still fun without looking like you’re heading to Comicon 🙂

Yay…! It’s Thanksgiving Day…! It’s a special and festive day when we give thanks for all the blessings. This celebrated day is a time to have beloved family and friends, good food and drinks, big hugs and smiles, to celebrate life with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn bread, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, sweet potatoes and family favorites. A day when the President of the United States “pardons” a turkey. We can watch The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV, and a day we can stay up all night so we can storm into the shopping center first thing in the morning for Black Friday.
As for me, I prefer a Thanksgiving celebration at home, where I can serve my family and friends these delish and adorable looking Cupcakes from Sprinkles Beverly Hills, with specially designed fondant, topped with edible pieces in a turkey, autumn leaf, and button shape, accented with bright colored bows. Simply irresistible. Just to think of it already makes me feel like smiling and saying, “Hmm…Yummy…!” 🙂

I also enjoy decorating the dining table, by bringing the autumn ambiance outdoor into the room. And as the gorgeous and romantic fall foliage has various shades of red, yellow, orange, green, and brown. So this year it’s red as the primary color, orange as the secondary color, and red-orange as the tertiary colors.

I now live in Southern California, so I cannot just pick out autumn leaves in my backyard. So, I purchased a bag of real autumn leaves from etsy.com, picked out table place cards and added a little sweet touch up by glue gunning a piece of cute plastic maple leaf I purchased from Michael’s on each name tag.

I also placed a couple of orange-colored pumpkins as parts of the centerpieces, and tied a beautiful long curly yellow ribbon on the stems to give a feminine but playful accent. And for the extra fun, I planted super cute and eye catching cupcake toppers as friendly reminders that this is Thanksgiving Day. A day to celebrate life with good people, great food, and all. A day that only happens once a year. A day that says it’s “Okay” for us to put our year long diet on hold, just for a moment. 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone. I hope you all have a good one.
