When you feel like wearing striped pants, wear them proud and remember these vertical lines can be used in your favor. This makes your legs look longer and slimmer. Horizontal lines will make your legs look wider. So, for those who wish to have that long leggy look, opt for vertical striped pants, and those who want to have their legs look bigger or wider can go with horizontal stripes. The vertical striped wide-leg pants that I wear are the perfect piece for me. They are stylish and practical at the same time. The elastic waistband with adjustable strings makes these stretchy pants easy to wear for any woman of any size.

When it comes to choosing the width of the stripes, make sure it is of the suitable size, so the stripes won’t make your legs seem too big or too thin. Thin vertical stripes will normally give an impression of slim, long legs, medium stripes will most likely give you the right look. Not too wide, nor too slim. I picked these black and white medium width vertical striped pants to match my trendy white floral embroidered crop top. Like the pants waistband, the top has stretchy trim, and it can be worn as an off-the-shoulder top, also known as Sabrina. Simply gorgeous.

As for the footwear, you can wear either flat shoes for a more casual look, or high heels if you want the taller, more chic look. Team this up with a clutch of medium size that can fit your essentials, such as cell phone, lipstick, powder, etc., plus a few accessories, and of course, a pair of shades. I personally choose these stunning looking sunglasses with cat-eye frame the compliment my off the shoulder look. Now, if this style doesn’t look enchanting to you, I don’t know what does 🙂

Summer is here and so are the mood altering bright colors. Today I decided to go with candy colors. We can channel our inner beauty and match that with ultra cool futuristic vibes in this skater skirt. This skirt is playful and iridescent so it’s look more futuristic also flirty. If you are not afraid to look younger, try this candy colored outfit.

I combined a royal blue stretchy sheer mesh body suit with a lace appliqué floral design. If part of your outfit has solid colors then try matching with a design pattern, bring more life to the outfit. This helps make your look more stylish and chic.

To make your fashion style look more intentional and bold, add bright colored accessories like bags, shoes, and sunglasses to match your colorful outfit. In this case I choose a dark pink clutch and sugary sweet bright pink high heels to complete my look. The show stopper is the heart shaped metallic pink sunglasses!!

Be brave and use your own creativity to show off your style. Feast your eyes on these candy colored fashion creations. Happy styling!!

SWEET SARONG SENSATION

As an Indonesian living overseas, wearing an outfit designed by a fellow Indonesian doesn’t only make me look good, it makes me feel good. It makes me proud.

So on this hot summer day, I walk along the streets of Beverly Hills wearing a wrap-around-and-tie sarong, designed by an award winning designer Lulu Lutfi Labibi of Jogjakarta origin, whose love for fabric draping techniques such as wrapping, layering, and tying, as well as turning traditional style into high fashion clothing has become his signature. This chiffon skirt is in timeless black and white with a long and bright red band accent. Such a gorgeous contrast in colors. This traditional-turned-high-fashion piece doesn’t have a fixed pattern. It’s merely a wrapping skirt that you can freely and creatively wrap and tie around your body, any way your imagination takes you. It’s so easy to mix and match.

As for the top, I am wearing a black and white stretch knit cotton crop top in crepe, which still reflects traditional Indonesian fashion. This kind of bustier-like top was commonly worn by Indonesian ladies in the countryside for centuries. The fusion between the traditional and high fashion design of this piece creates a fantastic match to my sarong. To enhance the theme of traditional fashion, I pick out some bright-colored accessories, such as bracelets and necklaces of ethnical styles and designs, alongside a mid-sized Balinese style clutch, made of woven fabric with tassels and pom poms, of similar bright colors. Last but not least, I put on a pair of black and white open toe high heels with red snakeskin strap to match the popping colors of my outfit and accessories.

If this fabulous combination of colors and fashion doesn’t look sweet and sensational to you, I don’t know what will..
