I love a dress for all occasions. Like world famous little black dress also known as the ‘LBD’ made famous by Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Those two icons prove that women are dynamic individuals and their wardrobes should reflect that.

Which is why I love this red and black sheath dress. The color blocking of the garment really bring out the hourglass shape of the dress, which is always so flattering to the female shape. And the length and look makes it office appropriate but also the perfect cocktail dress for after hours. I love a dress that you can dress up and dress down but also easily blurs the lines between work and play.

The thing about summer is that the days are longer. Which means there’s more time in the day to play and warmer nights to stay out later. So it’s important to have pieces in your closer ready for anything.

Summer dressing can be very casual but there are tricks that you can use to dress them up when needed. The one rule I always go by when I want to dress up something casual is to accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! Throw on a pair of heels and some statement pieces for that formal wow factor. And when you need to dress down for some after work drinks, I always try to add a bit of texture and patterns in my look. Maybe by throwing on a belt, which always gives a flattering hourglass figure to a summer dress. Or maybe even throw on a pair of sneakers for comfort. It’s all about finding a good balance for the occasion.

Another tip that goes a long way when you’re stuck in-between looks, always go for minimal make up and simple done up hair to keep looking fresh faced and ready to take on anything.

For the past couple of weeks we’ve been working on perfecting our clean and minimal refreshing summer looks. But most recently we’ve been on a floral kick as we incorporate some really feminine dresses and pieces into our outfit of the day. So this post we thought we’d find a good balance of the two summer looks we’ve been playing around with.

We love this simple white dress and minimal but still bold accessories. If you’re an artist or art student you’ll know exactly who we’re drawing inspiration from. The one and only Frida Kahlo! It gets warm in the summertime so it’s always best to keep your hair game simple and your make up refreshing. Which is why we decided to tie our hair back, throw on a flower crown and just add a simple bold lip for that pop.

We all know about the LBD or also known as ‘The Little Black Dress’ made famous by Audrey Hepburn but i think the same dress in white is just as great. Actually, the little white dress doesn’t get enough credit! The two are night and day but we’ve gotta live through both but can’t have one without the other.
