Have you ever wanted to wear two bold prints in one outfits but don’t want to look like you got dressed up in the dark? Well, we’ve got all the tips and tricks to get you wearing prints like a pro. What we often like to say is that anything is possible with fashion. So here are a few tips to get you along your way.

TIP #1 – PLAY WITH SIZE & SCALE. If you’re thinking of rocking plaid on plaid, trying blending oversized check patters with small plaid prints.

TIP #2 – MIX DIFFERENT PRINTS OF THE SAME COLOR. Its okay to mix and match but do so with reason! Mix the prints but match the colors. For example pairing blue florals and blue stripes looks great despite the difference.

TIP #3 – DON’T FORGET THAT TEXTURE COUNTS AS A PRINT. This tip is for those of you who wat to challenge yourself. Blending mixed textures can produce beautiful results as well. Try blending similar silhouettes and shapes together. Like ruffles on ruffles or lace on lace.

TIP #4 – HAVE CONFIDENCE! There is really no right or wrong way to do it. You can pair your patterns all the ways you want, but if you aren’t confident with the look you created….well then where’s the fun in that?

Some say you’re either a gold or a silver…but I always thought I was more of a copper and rose gold kind of gal. Sometimes copper looks like gold and other times it looks silver, there is something about Copper that feels so fashion forward. Its hip, its feminine and it’s youthful.

We absolutely adore the color of this coat so we thought we’d make it the centerpiece of this week’s fashion post. We love the length of this garnement. Its long enough to keep us covered but short enough to rock over our cocktail dress. We love the cute and flirty babydoll length but because the coat is so short we thought to balance it out by wearing our thigh high boots. That way we’re not showing too much skin and leave a little to the imagination.

There’s not enough talk and love for the diversity of texture in the fashion industry. Have we all forgotten that fabrics and their textures have everything to do with style. That being said, this post is dedicated to our taste for texture.

We love variety and mixing and matching all sorts of pieces into our daily looks. But today we thought we’d focus in on a repetition of textures. We love the look of this pastel pink sweater and how it gives us some great shape and movement. So for the bottoms we had to find a corresponding pieces with just as much shape and movement. But we instantly thought of this skirt when the words SHAPE & MOVEMENT came to mind. How do you think they pair together? The geometric shapes on the waist are so subtle but a perfect touch of detail. And the flowing panels and pleats add an extra flare to the whole look. But together the two make a killer combo.

Sometimes mixing and matching repetitive details can make for a really busy and messy outfit. Which is why all the fun is in finding the balance. So with the two textured pieces complementing each other, we thought we’d top this look with a beautiful pink overcoat.
