Fashion Frequency is visiting Japan this month! And we’re bringing out all our best street style looks for this trip. There is no better place to be inspired by fashion and style than Japan! So for this weeks post we’ve got a cute Kawaii and rock n roll chic outfit to share on here.

What we love most about Japan is the eccentric and out of this world fashion that you can catch on the streets. Some fashion lovers will dress in elegant tailored clothes and others tough with a punk attitude. It’s become endless inspiration for us! That being said, this weeks outfit post is about balancing cute and edgy. First, we drew upon Harajuku street style by wearing an assortment of colorful accessories and wearing our hair up in a quirky way. And to make it a little more edgy we made sure to incorporate some leather wear for that glam rock look.

It’s not always easy to rock two different vibes into your look. But its all in finding the balance with the accessories and pieces. It also helps to have some inspiration! Thank you Tokyo.

Effortless fashion is in the styles and shapes you choose to wear not the brands you decide to pair up in your look. And a woman can never look more at ease than in a floral summer dress.

Though there are countless dresses to choose from out there, here at Fashion Frequency we like to choose dresses that not only look great but have complimentary designs and shapes for our figure. We love a maxi V-neck front to a dress which gives our look a nice balance of breath and shape but also gives off a slimming illusion. The v-neck is sexy but also very classic and elegant.

Accessories are always welcome. But take note that florals can be loud enough so sometimes it might be best to keep it simple. Though when it comes to the heels you might want to take the opposite approach. Highs and lows are also important to work with summer dresses. You gotta keep it dynamic but also fitting for the occasion. So maybe decide on a pair of strappy heels instead of a stiletto which might be a little to formal and heavy for a fun and feminine flower power look.

There are times as a fashionista when you’re working with a tight budget. After all, its no easy task to keep up a fashionable lifestyle. But sometimes it’s the lack of resources that force us to get in touch with our creative genius. Which is why for this outfit post we decided to layer different pieces from our wardrobe to create entirely new fashion garments to work with.

Layering goes a long way, in style and in function. And since it’s not quite the season to be layering up against the cold, we’re just gonna have fun with it. We decided to layer two contrasting tank tops to create this sexy red and black outfit. Honestly, we couldn’t decide between the red & the black so we thought why not wear them both? Its bold, its edgy and you can never go wrong with red and black. Then to complete the look we threw on some patent leather shorts. These pants are a little intimidating at first glance, but once we styled them with the right pieces, they add the perfect amount of much needed texture to the whole look. We love how, despite being made of patent leather, they look extremely sporty.
